Ephraim Rouse was one of Matthias Rouse's sons.

Ephraim was born in Culpepper County VA in 1765 - a year before his brother George.

Ephraim Rouse's first wife, Maria Huffman, died abt. 1793.

In 1795, he married Barbara Deer in Madison County, VA

Mary's three children had been boys; all eight of Barbara's were girls.

Ephraim Rouse was still in Madison County VA in 1820. The Madison County census reports the 11 children.

On June 23, 1827, Ephraim bought two parcels of land in Boone County KY totaling 89 acres. They probably moved here that year?
Barbara died prior to the 1850 census which listed Ephraim Clore (85) and daughter Rosa (50). His real estate was valued at $1500.

On December 25, Moses Weaver purchased the interest of the other nine heirs in Ephraim Clore's 70 acres (9/10 for $1885).
Thirteen of the signatures on the deed were made with a mark. Only two son-in-laws were able to sign their names.

Nicholas Rouse 4 (Ephraim 3, Matthias 2, John Johann Rausch 1)
was born 19 Nov 1787 in Culpeper County (now Madison County), Virginia.

He was baptised 25 Dec 1787 Hebron Lutheran Church, Culpeper (now Madison) County, Virginia

He married Elizabeth Yowell.

Ephraim Rouse and son Nicholas Rouse are listed consecutively in the 1830 census for Boone County Ky.
Nicholas Rouse and his wife Elizabeth Yowell and family again migrated in 1836
to Ralls County, MO, as did others in that trek/year.

Boone County, Kentucky Deed Book R page 332 August Term 1851:
Nicholas Rouse of Ralls County, State of Missouri, appoints Elijah Rouse of Boone County, State of Kentucky,
"my true and lawful attorney to sell rights and title to personal estate of my deceased father, Ephraim Rouse."

Nicholas Rouse died 25 Apr 1878 in Criglers Mills, Ralls County, Missouri.

Noah Sampson Rouse 5 (Nicholas4, Ephraim 3, Matthias Rouse 2, John Johann Rausch 1)
was born 16 Jul 1819, Madison County, Virginia.

Noah Rouse was seven years old when he migrated
from Madison County, VA with his parents and family to Boone County, Ky. in 1826.
And he was only about 17 years old when he migrated with his family in 1836
from Boone County, Ky to Ralls County, Mo.

He married Levisa Jane Settle in 1840 in Ralls County, Mo.
She was born 1821, and died in 1892.

Noah Rouse died 30 Jul 1902 in Chicago, IL while visiting a daughter there.

1st marriage:
He married Lucinda Crigler 20 Oct 1836 in Boone County, Ky, daughter of Lewis Crigler and Jemima Utz.
She was born 10 Oct 1819 in Ky, and died 23 Jul 1851.

2nd marriage:
He married Louesa Baker 29 Aug 1852 in Boone County, Ky.
Their children were:
i. Mary "Mollie" Rouse was born 23 Sep 1858 in Kentucky, and died 1928. She married ___ Aylor.
Mary "Mollie" married Joseph Henry Clore 29 Jan 1879 in Boone County, Ky, son of Yancey Clore and Jemima Adeline Weaver.
He was born 12 Dec 1854 in Boone County, Ky, and died 1937.
ii. Lucinda Alice Rouse was born 25 Jun 1853 in Boone County, Ky, and died 12 Dec 1939 in Boone County, Ky.

3rd marriage:
He married Sarah Frances Gordon 20 Sep 1864 in Boone County, Ky.

i. Addie Adelia Rouse was born 27 Jun 1868.
She married Henry Johnson Aylor 7 Oct 1884 in Boone County, Ky, son of Johnson Aylor and Nancy Margaret Crigler.
He was born 1 Feb 1852 in Boone County, Kentucky, and died 7 Dec 1932 in Hebron, Boone County, Ky.

ii. Kittie Gordon Rouse was born 28 May 1870.
